Skirt to help with bed adhesion?

I use a brim. My print is also helped with a small household fan to cool overhangs. But I think my print is breaking off the bed.

Would a tall skirt help keep the first layer stick to the bed better?

Other than a clean flow and inspection of the first layer, what are other purposes of a skirt?

Brim is used when the contact surface with the bed is so small that the object risks loosening.
If your objects have a large contact surface and still come loose from the bed, you should first wash the bed with detergent and warm water so that it becomes really clean. Alcohol does not help in a rough cleaning. Then you can check that you have a good first layer. There shall be no slits and the surface shall be glossy and fine.

I have done all the usual things - first layer, detergent, etc. It is a challenging print.

I am simply asking if anyone uses a tall skirt to keep the model down to the bed, especially when using auxilary cooling.

Also, it looks like my brim isn't in contact with my first layer. Any suggestions? PLA

Make a big brim 6 or 8 lines, with attachment to the stl, then it will stick better.

Wash bed with dish soap, the it will stick the best to the bed.

What also could happen, the extruder can hit the model wen printing, with petg i had this, this can also hit the model off the bed.

Elephant feet was set to default, 0.2. When set to 0.0 the brim is in contact with model.

The extruder IS hitting the model ever so slightly. I am resigned to this.

Will a tall skirt keep the temp of the bed hot, when I am using another fan? Has anyone done this?
