quick and stupid question - bridge length
Hi all,
I need a quick reality check regarding the attached print. Are the bridge lengths (about 28mm in the longest diagonal) making any sense?
In a previous iteration of the model I hadn't cut out the middle bits of the posts and hence the bridging wasn't an issue.
Apologies for the dumb question, but I have been staring at that model for way too long and I guess I need some external plausibility check.
As always, thanks heaps for everybody's time and help.

28mm is not a problem
28mm should not be a problem. Max out cooling and test. There will be some sagging but unless the bridged surfaces are visible, it's not a problem.

Thanks
for the quick reply bob,
exactly what I needed. The bridges will be well hidden and the next relevant structure is about 3.5mm "above" the bridged area, so any sagging should be evened out by then.
@hawai
As Bob has said 28 no problem, I Bridge 50mm only just today messing around, no fuss no muss.
Remember you have the option of changing the Bridging angle if needed, you are not bound by the defaults.
Good luck

Thanks Mr. Cheese,
I did indeed play around with the angle, but the conceptualisation part of my brain seems to have been on holiday. I only found orientations that resulted either in longer or a larger number of long bridges.
Anyhow, the part is cooking and I will know in a few hours...
thick bridges
The 2.4 alpha version of the slicer has a thick bridges option too. I've not done too much with it since I generally don't try to do bridges that far except maybe in a temperature tower.
