Question regarding support structure in Slic3r 1.41

Hi all,
I want to print this model - its pretty small, about 2 x 4 x 5 cm in size.

For the two overhanging edges, I need support. What puzzles me is, that my support structure, no matter what I change in the parameters, is always larger at the left side. When printing, I can't remove it completetly. The right side is perferct. Can anyone give me a hint what parameters in Slic3r 1.4.1 need to be the changed to have the left support structure the same as the right or to have it removed more easily?

I got I just found it after changing "parameter XY separation to object".

Still it's unclear to me why the left support structure is different than the right, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore 😀

It could be the model is between the sizes of the support grid. I'm not sure on the way the support grid is worked out.

Also edit the layer height for the top curverd siction and it will give a smoother, finer appreance when printed

Not sure on why the 2 sides differ, but I'd try that part with no support in that orientation. Small overhangs like that at this scale often print fine.

You could also try a smaller test object--just the portion of one side where the overhang is (shorter & shallower, with same overhang), to see if the overhang prints satisfactorily.
