Prusa Slicer is removing part of tree frog

Hi folks,

First off, I am a 3D printing noob...just received and built a Prusa i3 Mk3s+.  Pleased to join the forum to contribute and share ideas! The build went well and I was quite impressed with the instructions...I have lots of PC building experience so did not find it too difficult.   I have successfully printed the included Prusa Logo, and Benchy model, but I am having an odd problem with the tree frog.   I load it into Prusa Slicer and hit slice and it  chops off the top part of the nose.  The object looks fine until it slices.  I have tried the file on the SD Card, and also re-downloaded the file from thingiverse.  I also tried the netfab repair option in Prusa Slicer.   This is probably something basic, but I am at a loss.  Thinking there must be some setting causing the problem since the file itself should be fine.  Slicing other objects works fine.

Any assistance would be appreciated.  I have attached a pic of how it looks after slicing.

Thanks!

Mark

Nothing missing on the nose. You are seeing the effect of limited vertical resolution. The frog is being built up in layers, much like stacking bricks.

If you want more detail, you need to use smaller bricks. In Slicer, you would select a smaller layer height. Instead of 0.15 mm, try slicing at 0.05 mm.
