Problem with the starting point of the layers
Hey,
I have a problem with the object in the photo. The nozzle no longer seems to extrude properly halfway up. I haven't actually changed the settings and above the point it is correct again. I actually made the z seam (starting point for the nozzle) at this point on purpose so that it is not visible. I'm using a 0.8 nozzle, but that can't be the cause, can it? Would it help to increase the layer height?
I have tried it with different filaments. The result is the same. Moving the z-seam to a different position (grey) didn't help either. I had imagined that the nozzle always has to travel exactly two paths per layer, which actually works well, but maybe that doesn't give enough support?
Otherwise, the property is of very high quality.
I would really appreciate your help!

Yes it can be the 0.8mm nozzle. The bigger the nozzle the more filament will leak from it during things like travel etc. When it goes to start a new line there is less material there than expected, that can lead to gaps at the start of layers. The amount 'missing' is highly variable depending on what its been doing previously, how far its travelled etc, how leaky the extruder is, how prone the filament type/colour/moisture content is to such factors.
There are several threads about this general issue on the forum already as well and many open and closed github issues regarding it.
Increasing layer height wont help.

Thank you for your answer! I have just tried the spiral vase mode. As the wall thickness is set exactly to the nozzle, it works. A bit unconventional, but it works.
