Print with low quality - STRINGING AND OOZING
Hi
Is there anyone know how to fix this problem? When I print, my printer - MK3S will print object with stringing. And after print, the surface will be unclean, which contains a lot of bumps.
I have changed retraction to a maximum of 2 mm.
Attached are the pics show how they look like.
Thanks!
Re: Print with low quality - STRINGING AND OOZING
Is that PETG filament?
It looks like what I see when I print with PETG that is not dried out. I find that PETG does that when it has adsorbed moisture, e.g. not dried or out in a high humidity environment...
Dry with a filament dryer to less than 20% humidity. For prints that exhibit that, you can use a hair dyer or heat gun on the prints to remove those strings.
If it is not PETG, then I do not have a suggestion other than to try what it says here. https://www.prusa3d.com/stringing-and-oozing/

Re: Print with low quality - STRINGING AND OOZING
I've had the same issue with my Prusa and no-one can really explain why. The only useful thing in that link is "try a lower temp" and most people will have already tried that. What do you do if you're getting terrible stringing (such as in the first example on that link) and lower temps don't help?
Re: Print with low quality - STRINGING AND OOZING
If you don't need it, disabling z-lift can help. I've been able to reduce the effect with a 0.40mm nozzle, but haven't figured out the trick for other sizes. I've attached the gcode I used to produce this print, as well as project and config files. You'll have to unzip these to use them. Hopefully they'll work better for you and help pin-point your issues. I used Chris Warcocki's excellent profiles as a starting point.
Edit: If you print this gcode or use the printer config, be aware that I have implemented the PINDA warmup routine. Don't be alarmed if the 1st print of the day takes a while to start up. It's waiting for the PINDA to hit 35C. You can check the current temp from the front menu under Support->Temperatures to track it.
