PETG Support settings for this part

Hello folks,

I printed this part using the default PETG settings and support "Everywhere" in the orientation shown.  The support material was very difficult to remove and I ended up damaging the part and will have to reprint it. I'm wondering what the guru's would suggest for support settings?

I didn't have the original model,  the small holes should self support!
How about

the suppurt is mostly stopping the print from falling over... than actually letting the model sag onto the supports

Thank you.  I will try that.  I'm assuming the support setting in that scenario would be "Support on Build Plate Only"

Because the print layers would be at 45 degrees to the horizontal and vertical part orientations it might even serve to make the print stronger.

Should I be altering any speed settings from the default Generic PETG settings?

Unfortunately that didn't work out.  The print shifted on the bed.  I guess I need more surface in contact with  the bed.

If you have left support settings default may I suggest you change the contact distance from 0.1 to 0.2 or even 0.25.  The default is too close and if you look at the tool tab is designed for soluble support structures which petg to petg is not.

Hi Lisa, try adding a raft 3 layers thick and a brim of say 10mm
