PETG and Raft/Support turns into a gummy carpet 🙁
Hi.
I'm having big problems printing in my favorite material, PETG.
Whenever I'm using support or rafting layers, the lines just ends up as a big carpet-like mess. Leaving the printer unattended results ini the nozzle eventually picking up the carpet and later crashing.
at first I thought that I messed up some settings, but after several attempts, I did a full factory-reset did a full calibration and returned to prusas default slic3r-settings. Still no luck.
I'm using these settings:
I have tried with:
Also tried a bunch of different slicer-settings, but still no luck 🙁
Hope that someone can help me.
Thanks

Re: PETG and Raft/Support turns into a gummy carpet 🙁
From you picture it looks like the skirt is a bit too squished, which indicates that your Z distance is too small. PETG likes to be "laid" on the print surface instead of being flattened into the surface like PLA. My own Live Z Adjust setting for PETG is 0.050 higher than for PLA.
Could you try raising the Z distance a bit?
Also why use raft in the first place, when using the nice PEI surface?
