overextruding at the beginning of a layer
Prusaslicer....... where to find the solution?
I'm getting way to much overextruding in the beginning of a layer.
This is happening on 1 PLA type/brand I'm testing. When using the exact same gcode on Prusament, Esun, Real, Hatchbox, and a couple more exotic brands, I get perfect results.
Where to search?
Is it an idea to start playing with more retraction here?
What I did already:
- lowered nozzle temp, so the filament should be less flow. I played with temps between 210 and 195 °C. (Normally I print around 203°C on the MK3s with an MicroSwiss RVS plated 0.4 nozzle). This isn't helping at all.
- lowered flow on the MK3s with the front knob from 95 to 75 (this is getting a better print, but is not perfect, nor the solution in the slicer). What I also find out is, the beginning of the layer is getting better, but the rest is getting a little underextruded.
I hope someone can point me in the right direction here.

RE: overextruding at the beginning of a layer
My guess is you may either need to adjust the linear advance for that particular filament, or that filament is configured to extrude a little extra for a deretraction.
For linear advance, see this page: http://projects.ttlexceeded.com/3dprinting_techniques_calibrating_filament.html#linear-advance
For extruding a little extra for a deretraction, see the setting "Extrude length on restart" either in the Printer Settings/Extruder n settings, or in the Filament Settings/Filament Overrides settings. (As the name implies, if set the latter will override the former settings.)
Or... I could be completely off base. 😉

Thanks Sembazuru,
I will check both sugestions.
