Nylon / TPU support tip
Hey everybody,
Just wanted to share a neat little trick i just used.
So i wanted to print a part in Nylon (Taulman 910). And i read that Nylon support is a B**** to clean up afterwards since it bonds realy well to itself.
So i printed little PLA helpers. with 0,05-0,1 mm offset
Then i prepared the Gcode for the Nylon part without any support but with colour changes at the layers that would need the support
https://www.prusaprinters.org/color-print/
So at each colour change i used the PLA helpers with gluestick!! at all sides and inserted them into the print.
After that the print resumes and prints on top of the helpers with a near perfect layer.
When its done just use a smal scapel or knife to seperate PLA and Nylon.
Obviously this only works with some geometries. But it should be possible to use with soluble material in more komplex situations.
The PLA deformed a little due to the heat so this might not be the best material but it worked.
Maybe this helps somebody.
Happy printing.
Oliver
