Layer Shifting
Hey Guys I am stuck here with a weird problem and hope you can help me out.
I have almost 200 printing hours on my new MK3 and never had an issue with it. Now I want to print a simple hook. It is kind of S-shaped. 40 mm high. Nothing special. I slice with Cura and use Amazon Basic PETG. Cura settings are the same as I always use and never had any problems.
Now I have layer shifting but just in this very special program. It shifts like 15 degrees in the Z/Y Plane.
Of course I first thought I need to recalibrate. It didnt change. Printed a different object - just perfect.
Than I used the Slicer Prusa Edition to slice. The weird thing now is I have the same 15 degree shift for the first 5-8 mm. But then it prints just perfect.
After that I designed my model new because i figured the slicers have an issue with the stl. Didn't change.
Then I ran the Cura programm again with PLA instead of PETG and the result is surprisingly similar to the one i sliced with Slicer. I have a 15 degree shift for the first 5-8 mm than it prints great...
I don't know what to do anymore. Any Ideas? Thank you for your help!

Re: Layer Shifting
if all the other good advice fails try a factory full reset I had random layer shifts at one point last fall and eventually chat support had me reset the prisoner clearing all configuration data... reran the new printer wizard and (knock wood) all has been well one that front for months
