RE: How to stop BVOH from making a stringing mess
Dude, every time I read a lustful sentiment about the XL, I get a chuckle. It does sound pretty cool, but I think I will let all of you work out the bugs. To me it's like being all excited about buying the first auto flying car. Plus it's kind of spendy.
RE: How to stop BVOH from making a stringing mess
It HAS to be a better solution than trying to share one extruder with two very different filaments. The MMU has never been more than a clever kludge though. And if you're interested in doing something like TPU, forget about it lol. I never count on the MMU to work. Thankfully, as of late, with PLA and multi color PETG prints, it's been ok, but I'm always more surprised when it works lol

I hope it's all they say it is.

Follow up from support this morning:
"
Hello,BVOH and PETG can work, especially with multi extruder printers, but with MMU it can be problematic because of the big difference in printing temperatures. But BVOH is definitely better in this regard than PVA (the other soluble filament).

So getting it to work in the past was lucky I guess lol
