How to solve possible ringing problem

Hello,

I have printed this part a few times using different settings and materials (ABS, PLA, PETG and ASA). But I have the same problem with all of them. The edges of the part are rough and there seems to be ringing on the flat surfaces. The areas that appear to have printed correctly on one side have ripples on the other and vice versa.

I have tried lowering the printing speed to see if that improves the problem with no noticable difference.

Thanks,

Emily

Seam control (try rear or aligned), the advanced jerk and acceleration settings... also max speed.  And you might try a different slicer. Prusa's is prone to laying down layers from different directions, and this leads to some artifacts at the start and ends of extrusions.

The short sections are where the nozzle is never getting up to speed. So speed is helping.  Also, a player in this is the cooling slowdown. Make sure it isn't switching in on you.

ps: you also may want to do a fair measurement of belt tension.
