Grouping a Hole Doesn't Cut It (Tinkercad)

I've looked for Tinkercad forums and what I've found is pretty sparse, so I'm asking here.

I'm trying to make a gear for a ball chain. When I group a sphere (as a hole) with a flat cylinder the hole doesn't cut out the cylinder. I've elevated one of the spheres to the edge of the cylinder so you can more easily see the problem.

What am I doing wrong?

OK, false alarm. I found the problem.

I had inadvertently duplicated the cylinder and when I grouped the holes with the cylinder it still had the 2nd cylinder still there, ungrouped.

Hi Wingsy,

thanks for admitting the oversight,
it may help other people in a similar situation,
I have had similar experiences with 123D design

regards Joan
