First time using PET-G

Didn’t turn out to well. It appears that I’m building material around the nozzle and then it comes off on the print leaving a blob.

Being new to all this I’m using the default settings which I probably need to adjust however I don’t know what to adjust.

Using Prusa PET-G white filament

Suggestions ?

RE: First time using PET-G

Do you brush off the nozzle prior to the print?  I've gotten into the habit of doing so, to remove the excess worm and boogers and such and I've found that yes, this is more important when using PETg, as it's more likely to string and blob than PLA or ABS.

I would be hesitant to adjust things until all of the simple items, such as correct Z calibration, clean nozzle, good warm-up and stabilization, etc. are solid.

Have you tried one of those 3x3 Z calibrations with the PETg filament?

Think I have figured it out. Adjusted the Extruder and Bed temperatures slightly for the first and additional layers.

The greatest improvement came when I adjusted the retraction (it wasn’t retracting)

Thanks for the help guys
