First time printing TPU - Fillamentum Flexfill 98A - HELP needed?

For the first time I have printed flexible material, but it was terrible.

Filament: Fillamentum Flexfill 98A

Before printing I dried the filament for 60 minutes at the oven with 70 degrees, to avoid any additional moisture.

As the Youtube video from 3DMN (@3Dmakernoob) showed, I use the flowing settings:

Speed: 20 mm/s at all speed settings

Lift Z = 0 (zero)

Result - see picture

Total surface was very good, but the stringing showed more the filament retraction (Lift Z zero).

The travel ways between all new printing point will be shown and be on the physical 3D part.

For further information I will also upload the AMF file.

NEED na HELP? I be glad if you can provide me any ideas.

The 3D model is from thingiverse model (thing:4377536) by Scottty.

(Note: As of business reasons, I can not answer asap)

Raise the travel speed to 180mm/s, I think that is the main problem.

How does the model look in Prusa Slicer when you have 80% infill? I can’t check myself at the moment but I never go higher that 30% unless I want a solid infill at 100%. This is out of old habits, haven’t really tried/checked lately.

Hi sw3de,

thanks for your reply. The model looks in PrusaSlicer with 80% infill ok. I  did a previous part with 15% infill and this was to soft for the use-case. I'd like a flexibel part but strong, because these a landing legs for a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone.

All the speed parameters are quite slow, because I would like to refuse stringing.

That was my heavy problem before I view the Video from 3DMN - Joesph Casha:

The surface quality with all these settings looked pretty perfect. The only problem is the RETRACTION.

It seems the extruder print also the lines between each travel and layer change.

Any Ideas?

Did you ever print Fillamentum Flexfill 98 A on your Prusa Mk3S?

Which settings your installed?

Hi @stephan-b2,

can you please take a look to my AMF-File.

I just found your post in the forum Printing tips, but that does not realy solve my blocking  point.

Can you please help?

@joerg

Maybe you should lower the temperature. My temperatures for Filamentum TPU Vertigo Grey are max 220° (Nozzle) and 50/30° Bed.

I print on a textured bed with 0.6 NozzleX.
