First Print worping and coming loose from the bed
I have not been able to get a good print on my Prusa i3 mk3. I have been trying to print the Prusa badge from the SD card. It keeps warping and coming loose from the bed. I have set the first layer to several different heights including too high and too low. I have washed the bed with Dawn dish soap, and wiped it down the alcohol. There are no predicable drafts near the printer. I have even re-run the Wizard. I am using the silver Prusa PLA which came with the printer, and I the textured steel bad. I have not changed any temperature (HE at 215 & bed at 60) or speed setting. When it starts, it looks great, but around .80 Z it starts coming loose from the bed and warping. The photos are of the last print attempt. The first one is right after it finished and the second is the back of the print. Any ideas on how to fix this?
RE: First Print worping and coming loose from the bed
Users have found washing the PC sheet in soap and hot water works to improve PLA adhesion.
Use Dawn unscented/unflavored dish detergent, using ONLY fresh paper towels to scrub; rinse in hot water until water beads and sheets off; dry any excess with another fresh plain paper towel; then bake on printer at 80c for 30 minutes to reduce moisture within the texture.
ps: it seems something from the manufacturing process is still on the sheet when shipped; and soap and water is all that removes it; alcohol isn't effective on a new sheet. But once washed properly, alcohol becomes useful so only this initial wash is needed.
