First layer problem with Prusament PETG

I'm having trouble with my first layer. It starts out good (upper right corner) but then gets worse. I'm getting filament bunching up and sticking to the print head.

I've done the first layer calibration, which looks good but I suspect that my print head is too low, if so, are there tips to better do the calibration? This is using the Prusa provided gcode file for the enclosure V2, so i'm assuming it is not a slicer problem.

This may be somewhat similar to the issue I am having here. The ambient temp around the printer gets too hot and things get globby. Not sure what the solution is (printing smaller parts with doors open on my enclosure worked for me - but that likely isn't applicable for you), but hopefully someone will chime in!

I use this https://www.printables.com/model/105404 for calibration. Also, I strongly suggest not using someone else's gcode--even if it's Prusa. When I printed my first LacK I using their gcode had a number of issues with the nozzle getting caught on infill. My next one I slice myself with 15% gyroid instead of grid infill. Not one problem printing 3 more enclosures

Thank you for the calibration model. I played with it and it really helps my understand how adjusting the Z value affects the first layer.

RE:

I also followed your advice and sliced my own and am now getting great results. This also lets me avoid 20 hr print jobs. Thanks!
