First few layers distorted ONLY on non-PLA materials
Hi,
I have this problem on Prusa ABS and Form Futura Crystal Flex and it's that the first few layers are distorted and/or messy. As the print moves away from the heatbed up in Z axis the print gets better, almost flawless. Curiously, it happens in smaller pieces too in about the same proportion (approximately the first 15-20% of the print).
The big white tubes are 180mm high and and 30mm in diameter the small nozzles are only about 21mm high and 8mm at their widest, but you can see that the first 5-6mm of the nozzles are also distorted, and on the tubes it's about the same proportion of layers (25-25mm on the tubes). Not sure if it's a coincidence or not that on very different prints the proportion of problematic layers is almost identical 15-20% !
Note how clean the bottom edges are on the PLA print of the same nozzles (light grey ones are cheap PLA prints).
I'm using Prusa ABS settings for both Prusa ABS filament and Form Futura's Crystal Flex.
TIA for any pointers or suggestions.
Alex
