Different nozzle sizes
i'm going to start experimenting with a 0.2mm nozzle for more detail and a 0.8mm nozzle for more speed. Any ideas about how i cope with these in simplfy3d?

Re: Different nozzle sizes
1.change your nozzle size in the main tab
2.lower the layer height
3.profit?

Re: Different nozzle sizes
just joking with 3, but with the .8 you'll definitely have to slow down considerably unless you're planning on upgrading to a volcano. copper block/nozzle and sock should help a little in theory, but you're still trying to melt a ton of plastic with a very short melt zone.
Re: Different nozzle sizes
With a 0.2 nozzle, you will need to have impeccable cleanliness, the nozzle will be easy to block,
and beware of trying very small layer heights, the extruder may struggle to manage tiny feed instructions.
your first layer will be more difficult to perfect as the prusa's minimum first layer height of 0.15 is close to the nozzle's maximum realistic layer height.
