Dalpek Aero - Curling Overhangs

Hey Guys,

I've tried a few times to print the small Dalpek Gyro Air only to have it pop off the bed mid print. This seems to be a result of heavy overhangs resulting in curled layers that get knocked or pushed on travel moves. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:653085

Does reducing print speed (increasing cooling time) significantly help curling? Does anyone have any advice on what speeds I should attempt for perimeters considering this? Can layer height influence curling (smaller=less overhang per layer right?).

I'm printing with the stock Prusa Silver PLA.

Edit: I've tried glue stick, a nice low low Z, and a raft. Adhesion with glue stick on a whistle print was almost impossible to get off. It's only this print that's giving me first layer adhesion issues. I even tried a 0.6mm first layer extrusion width! Again...most other prints adhere great, even without glue stick.

I think that you are using Slic3r. Have you tried adding a Brim? For things that have a small surface contact brims are a useful tool.

Unfortunately a brim only seems to apply to the outer ring. Slic3r won't brim the inner rings.
