Cannot print with Prusa PET / PETG

Hi.
I'm having troubles with Prusa white PET.
I thought I would be able to print PET out of the box but I'm not.
Using slic3r prusa edition, Prusa white PET, default slic3r profile.
First layer seems ok (see the bottom of the print).
Infill is a mess, had to stop printing.
Tried raising temperature to 250C but it didn't help.
Tried using linear infill but it didn't help.
Tried slowing down infill to 100mm/s, no difference.
I'm planning to print only PETG in the near future, so this is a big problem for me.
What I'm doing wrong?
Shouldn't the slic3r prusa PET profile be the best profile to start with?
Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Re: Cannot print with Prusa PET / PETG

Check your printer that the X and Y axes run just as easily across the end positions.
Check that X and Y end pulleys rotate easily and that the pulleys are correctly mounted on the motor shafts.
You can also try lowering the nozzle temperature 5 to 10 degrees and reducing the infill to 10%.

Hi. Already tried different temperatures and infill. Nothing changes, is always messy. PLA works perfectly, so I assume is no hardware related

Tried raising your z height a little?

I print almost exclusively PETG and get good results even with cheap Amazon or StongHero PETG spools.

See if my Slic3r print and filament settings help.

Failing with the above, I would recommend either drying your current spool or getting a new spool.

if you want to print petg with rectilinear infill pattern you have to slow down your infill speed dramatically.
The infill lines are basically bridging lines which contact zone is so minimal that the lines cut off and curl up.
Sometimes it's better to use the grid infill pattern so you can speed up your infill to maximum speed.

so, after some tuning I understood that I had to cut slic3r speed by an half to be able to print PETG.
I don't know why Prusa default settings use such an high speed if it's impossible to print with.
Regarding the z axis it turns out that i didn't have to adjust it. PLA settings works great for me.

Re: Cannot print with Prusa PET / PETG

Also try a GYROID pattern for your infill, its stronger, uses less filament and prints smoother.
See this post:

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

Re: Cannot print with Prusa PET / PETG

I just used guy.k2's profiles for the Amazon PETG and right off the first layer printed excellent. I will know in 4 hours if this resolves my problem with the Amazon PETG.
