ASA and Glue
Hello guys,
I'm printing ASA... and.. It warps! A bit. But it does.
I'm looking to use glue... But... Which is the right sequence to glue the bed? I have to glue when it is cold and then do bed Leveling and the heating up the bed? Or glue - heating up - Leveling?
This morning I did a fast test. But it seems that if I apply the glue, then heating up and the I do the bed Leveling the nozzle goes higher than usual and I have no "grip".
Thanks for any help.
RE: ASA and Glue
Make sure your first layer is good with the new filament. Also, clean the bed with soap and water and IPA. If it still won't stick or wraps, then I reach for help.
I have had good success with some warping filaments with:
- Aquanet Hair Spray
- Magigoo Pen - an All-in-One Adhesive
- 3D Printer Adhesive Glue by Layerneer
- Glue Stick
I like each one. I prefer hairspray because it is easier to remove and apply. I start with 1 and work my way down.

Hello... Thanks.
Can you explain how to apply Magigoo? The sequence.
Thanks
RE: ASA and Glue
I apply it on the bed before heating and allow it to dry in the hading process. It has a sponge on the top.
Aquanet sprays on smoothly.
I do the same with all three.
I find the glue stick harder to get off and difficult to get a uniform thickness.

It should ready dry during the heating process.
