All of a sudden my print starts to fail
Was super happy after assembling the printer MK3 and the first print came out.... perfect!
Have been printing for a few weeks, always getting good results.
One day my print had failed and most of the plastic caught around the nozzle.
Only printing the grey-PLA that came with the printer. Raised the temp to 225 to remove PLA and clean the nozzle.
Now my first layer fails all the time and I have tried re-running the first layer calibration numerous time.
at .840 it looks perfect... Start to print my part (pretty much the same one as earlier).... Fails on first layer... It does not stick uniformly.
Clean between each print using Acetone on occasions.
Tried z-calibration and I cant think of something else to try. Tried reprinting well-known parts....
Re: All of a sudden my print starts to fail
Have you ever touched the surface of the steel plate?
Have you ever washed the steel plate?
Oils migrate - one finger print will expand and foul the surface and prevent adhesion, and parts will fail.
