adding a small area solid fill to a normal fill
hello and evening
is it possible please to insert a solid fill area within say 20 % normal fill.. i need to toughen up a small area to accept a self tapping screw
ideas please

Yes. Look for movies on the prucaslicer, you can see the new functions.
right click on model , ad modifier............

yes got it now thanks peter.
when i sliced it it vanished had me fooled but going down the layers saw it had added that area and able to alter the fill.
whats the trick to positioning please seems very awkward

I don’t really understand. I assume you have a hole where the screw will go. This will automatically add perimeters around the hole, making a solid section.

yes john good point good thinking ..... unfortunately not quite sure where exactly the hole needs to be yet so thought i could toughen up a say 12mm dia area and they can drill a hole where they want it when fitting. so they can have a solid bit to screw into
got the gist of what peter said tried it out and will do as required just finding placing the fill area rather difficult

would work if you
(1) drill a hole with a very small diameter (which can also guide the drilling) and
(2) in the slicer, to place a cylinder modifier around it with Layers and Perimeters modified settings to increase the number perimeter to 4 or 5 in that region?
