The ties in my MMU kit are roughly 155mm long x 2.5mm wide. They are unbranded.

RE: Zip tie size and brand
With the kit, I got a baggie of them and they were a certain brand but I misplaced them.

@charles-h13
My bag is labeled "Ty-Its" part number UB140A-B and shows their length as 140mm and width at 2.5mm. Doesn't spec their height but that looks to be about 1mm. Hope that helps. Odd size for my standard US supplies of stuff (HomeDepot :-))
RE: Zip tie size and brand
Thanks. Looks like they have gone through a few brands.

As frequently as I tear down and rebuild my machines, I've gone through two bags of these....

They are a bit thinner than the ones Prusa supplies, but do the job.

All the more reason NOT to use zip ties as your routine PINDA setting guide. Print yourself a few PINDA gauges. Lap them to 0.8 mm and you will have repeatable PINDA setting heights. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3555647
RE: Zip tie size and brand
While you are at it, a zip tie tightening tool is fantastic. For those (non-extruder) fastening jobs, this gets ties cinched down better than you have ever experienced. It does not cut the tie off, but that's what your flush cutter is for.

Mine (from an early MK3 kit) are fancy HellermanTyton (probably the finest brand of cable ties there is), article number 111-02360 T18I, Material PA66W, UV resistant. 145mm (nominally 5.5") total length, 2.5mm (nominally 0.1") wide. Bag of 100. These are currently over £5 a bag from RS, compared to less than £1 for equivalents from a local electrical supplier.

Just found these on Amazon. Going to get them for my repairs. They seem close enough to the specs mentioned but i'll let you know if they don't work out

I prefer the gun style cable tensioner and cutter. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004YK60YC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You set the tension and it'll cut the tang when you get to the right tension.

RE: Zip tie size and brand
For repairs, literally any zip tie will work. Any sensible size, any color, any manufacturer. It does not matter whatsoever.
And if you are adjusting the PINDA, almost any common zip tie will also work perfectly, as wull any sensible object *approximately* 1.0 mm thick. Four playing cards will work, or four business cards.
Any sensible object approximately 1 mm thick will ensure your print head is not above or below the Live-Z adjustment range.
I was mad years ago because Prusa would not specify the zip tie thickness. Then I realized exact precision is simply not required.

Tom
