Y-Axis Clicking

Hello all,

I am hearing a clicking noise when the plate moves back and fourth along the y-axis.  It seems to be coming from the bearings, which have been recently cleaned and lubed. I also cleaned and lubed them again when this started happening. There was an odd stripe pattern on the y-axis that wiped off during cleaning that could show there is some uneven force on the rods? There were some screws that had loosened slightly in the front left of the printer y-axis rod holder which have been tightened to no avail. My next step to to reassemble the y-axis completely, but before I do this I wanted to check here to see if anyone else has had this issue or some idea what could be causing the clicking? For some added context I have just over 600 hours of print time on the printer and have been good about keeping up with maintenance.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

The photos show the screws I tightened and the striped pattern. It is hard to see so I marked on copy of the photo with lines where the more prominent lines can be seen, they are faint.

RE: Y-Axis Clicking

Update:

I cleaned and readjusted the y-axis rods, checked the bearings, measured the rod alignment to ensure they are parallel, and double checked no screws are loose. Green across the board, yet the clicking persists. When moving the y axis by hand when the belt was not attached made no clicking sound. With the belt attached the clicking is back. This makes me think that it could be a stepper motor noise, or it could be related to the belt. I am going to continue the process of elimination. In the meantime I am running a quick print to see if the clicking actually has any effect on print quality.
