Y-Axis Belt Frayed/Broken - Brand New i3 MK3 Kit
Hi Prusa Support,
I've had my printer assembled for less than a day, have done several small prints successfully, but in the middle (about 4-5 hours in) of a 12 hour print, my y-axis belt became very loose, and then frayed and snapped. I followed the directions on tensioning it properly, so I'm not sure what happened to cause this. I checked the store, but Y-Axis belts are out of stock. Is there any chance that I could get a replacement?
Thanks,
Adam

I would try the chat, bottom right of the https://shop.prusa3d.com page.
Proud owner of a Mk3 that is producing very nice prints. There is room for improvement as I learn more about it, but so far I am very happy.

alternatively you can get 6mm GT2 belt on ebay for very low cost and then when you get your replacement you can keep it as a spare, so that you are not stuck in the future.

It looks like Amazon sells it for $8 USD for 5 meters, and I can get some by Monday. 😀
