XYZ calibration failing after calibrating the 4th point
I've adjusted the penda probe so it doesn't touch the paper but the same problem is still occurring. Whether it or not, it still touches the paper. Just watch the video and you'll see. I'm on the latest version as well.
Z calibration fail
I'm having another issue of the z calibration. Turn it on when when it hits the bed It instantly fails. I have no idea why it says calibration failed. Check the axis and try again.
RE: XYZ calibration failing after calibrating the 4th point
I have an older MK2.5S with simular problems.
Somehow the firmware thinks the height of the Z-axis is more then it is in reality.
Workaround I found:
- Remove nozzle (so you are sure it cannot hit the bed)
- loosen the PINDA and move it up 2-3 mm. This way you "fake" that the height is more.
- Run the calibration (if you get the same error, maybe move the PINDA more up.
- I think it will run OK then.
- After calibration.
1. ALWAYS FIRST: Move PINDA down to about the place it was (loosly)
2. Place Nozzle.
3. Paper on sheet. Move nozzle down (use settings, move Z-axis) until the nozzle touches the paper.
4. Place a creditcard (thickness is about 1 mm) under the PINDA
5. Adjust the PINDA so it touches the creditcard (now the PINDA is 1 mm above the level of the nozzle.
5. First layer calibration.
We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.
