X axis not moving, only jittering. Motor checks out on other machine. Please help!
  • X axis moves freely by hand with no obstructions. Tried to reload firmware 3.14.1 with no improvement.  X axis vibrates when trying to home, but doesn't move much. I swapped X And y plugs on einsy board and X then moves appropriately using y driver slot. Is my board bad? Or is there another possible issue? Tyia!

Could be a dry joint or faulty connector, was it still faulty when you switched the Motor wires back?

might be worth reloading the firmware just in case...

The spot where the cable goes into the stepper is prone to bending. If a cable breaks there it is not easy to repair without disassembling the stepper. When I got my MK3S years ago I immediately added this x-axis cable strain relief. You can find plenty by searching printables for MK3 strain relief.
