What version of Marlin Linear Advance does the Mk3 use?
I've read that there are vast differences between Marlin Linear Advance 1.0 and 1.5. LA 1.0 uses far higher values, while 1.5 values range from 0-2. Based on the Prusa settings (e.g. 30 for PLA) I assume the Mk3 uses 1.0, but I'd like to confirm. Does anybody know for certain which version of LA is used on the Mk3?

I would also like to know which version is used because I want to calibrate the K-value for Filaflex.
If an answer is not possible because they made their own linear advance, could we be provided with a configuration file for our own filaments?

The version string I see in the firmware's Marlin_main.cpp is
#define VERSION_STRING "1.0.2"

Thanks, didn't think to check the source for some silly reason!

The marlin linear advance gcode generator works (but you have to switch out the starting gcode with something more suitable for a Prusa).
However, if it helps, I've done it for TPU and PLAflex. My K value was around 130

Thanks for your replies, I figured it out by trial and error.
K-Value for Filaflex with Shore82A is not usable so I go without it.
Re: What version of Marlin Linear Advance does the Mk3 use?
I started using Linear Advance just using the standard profile in Slic3r. I haven't even bothered to test the calibration but I have to say that the positive impact this has had my machines speed and accuracy is shocking. I am seeing prints come out at nearly double the speed that the same objects had with previous settings. And I am not seeing any apparent loss in quality.
Is there any possible disadvantage to using Linear Advance that I am not seeing yet?

It is still LA version 1.0. There is a great calibration sheet here: http://marlinfw.org/tools/lin_advance/k-factor.html
