What is this noise?

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have an idea where this noise is coming from?

When I start printing, there is no noise, but after a few layers, it begins. Last night, the same thing happened, and the filament got stuck.

Thanks in advance,

Zibi

Lightly grip the filament above the print-head.  Do you feel pulses along with the clicks?

If so your Bondtech gears' grip is slipping.

Possible causes:

- Extruder body and gear teeth full of filament dust/fragments; open and clean.

- Partial clog causing backpressure in the hot end; cold pull.

- Wrong tension on extruder idler; adjust.

- Unusually undersized filament; measure to check, if so, temporarily adjust idler.

Cheerio,

Thanks, Diem!

Yes, there were pulses.

Since then, I figured out that it was because of the filament. I didn't do anything, just changed the filament back (it happened with an original Prusa filament) and now it works like a charm.

Thanks,

Zibi
