Very difficult to remove PETG Support filemnt from heatbed
Hi,
I have used PETG for a few recent prints, and I am finding it extremely difficult to remove filament residue from the heatbed, whether it be the brim, the small bit of filament that gets printed at the side of the heatbed before a print starts, or the remains of supports. Basically in order the get the filament off I have had to scrape it off, which has damaged the heat bed plate
Any recommendations on how to remove filament stuck to the heatbed

Dribble IPA. On the build plate.. let it soak under the print. Then try again

Also the prusa instructions say that you need to use a release agent on the smooth sheet for petg, so something like the glue stick that comes with your printer as adhesion can be too great. Its why the textured or satin sheets are more suitable for petg.

A '+1' for @neophyl's comment on sheets. I use the satin sheet for just about all the PLA/PETG printing I do.
In point of fact, I can't remember the last time I used the PEI sheet!
Cheers,
Tim

Ok
Thanks for the helpful advice. I do have both the satin sheet and a glue stick, so I will give these suggestions a try,
Guy

Same here. The only times I used the textured sheet was for decorative purposes, and I haven't used a smooth sheet in more than a year.
