RE: Tmc overheat

Tmc is the stepper motor driver overheating I've seen a few have this but very rare cases if you point a fan at control box that should do it it's not to much to worry about let me know how that goes many thanks

Please help me out by downloading a model it's free and easy but really helps me out https://www.printables.com/@Hello_474427/models

Thanks for your quick reply! Good news it’s not that serious, but the nozzle is stuck in the print. Only way to get out of it is to shut the power off and on again, and the print is destroyed, back to start after 6-8 hours printing !. The printer is inside a cabinet with ventilation and extraction fan. I have printed for many years like this with no problems until now. I will try to have the door open.

I would fit heat sinks (with thermal paste) to the driver components and also install a 40mm fan. This way it's guaranteed that the drivers won't overheat even in an enclosure at temperatures above 40 degrees C.

You can get heat sinks with thermal conducting tape as well.  Will look at doing this to my printer before summer hits.  I have some stepper motor driver heat sink kits that use tape.
