Hi Marc,

If you get these I would suggest you use all nine new parts rather than mixing and matching as they may be different lengths.

I would get none and use the nyloc method instead.

Seems interesting.

Less bed vibrations?

I assume i have to make changes to de source code and upload the firmware with arduino ide, haven't I

Thanks.

Re: This bed mk3 spacers any good?

I switched to m4 brass standoffs. Each carefully ground to length needed at each bed location to effect a physically flattest bed. Gives me the advantage of flattened bed like nylock or spring method, but easy to remove heat bed + stability of springless nylock method.

Requires measuring mesh bed leveling several times for of 9 locations as standoff was changed in length. Some are longer, some shorter than stock spacers. Calipering and keeping square while small amounts of brass were removed took a while. Then install spacer, mesh measure while bed hot, repeat. Middle one kept standard. Peripheral 8 can be removed and reinserted without disturbing the others.

Hi,
this is not to do with vibrations, but gives you the ability to adjust the bed for greater flatness. No firmware changes are required specifically for this.

RE: This bed mk3 spacers any good?

hey!

I would love to try stahlfabrik's suggestion, but I seem to have lost all of my spacers! 🙁

Also trying to avoid shipping costs.

Any ideas for alternatives?

Can they be 3d printed for the MK3? stack of washers?

There's no point in the nylock mod if you assembled things correctly but if you forced the bed out of shape it might help.  The spacers are just precisely machined sections of tube, it's most important that they are identical in length so buying/machining a whole set at once is the best way to go.

Cheerio,
