Thermal Runaway on nozzle

Hi,

Long story short; I screwed up installing a RPiZ, the printer made a loud pop and now has a thermal runaway and existential crisis when powered on.

I am aware that I very likely miss wired the pi to the  board, but I did not know at the time.

I inspected the board [found nothing], checked the 2 5, the 15A fuses and the output of the connector for the heater and noticed that it just immediately jumps to 24V for the heater, but since it doesn't look damaged I wondered if there's a way to fix it.

If it's just dead I had in plan of just buying a cheap [50€] RAMBo 1.2e [this is a 1.1b] on Alibaba, but I am unsure about the compatibility/compromises :/

RE: Thermal Runaway on nozzle

where did you measure the voltage for the heater?
the Extruder heater and heatbed power, both have 24volts as soon as the printer is turned on. the circuit control is activated by the MOSFET switching the other wire on the heater to ground (0Volts)
so you actually need to measure the voltage across the heater contacts both
when the heater is at rest  (you should see zero volts) and
when the heater is trying to heat ( you should see 24 volts)

the Mk3 series printers are fitted with an einsy rambo so you need to ensure that the replacement is also an einsy (the circuit and connectors are different to the traditional rambo mini which was used on the Mk2 series printers.)

I measured the voltage on the unplugged connector pins while the printer was set to 0° where it was still at 24V for the nozzle [thus the 'therml_anomolys'].

As for the 1.2e; I have decided to either just buy a replacement from the official store or look for upgrades that fit the Caribou220 firmware I need.
