Thermal runaway - extruder and bed off?
Hi all, does anyone know what could be causing the following problem:
I turn my MK3 on and select preheat for PLA (does not matter which profile I select). Both the bed and extruder temperatures start to climb (as they always have). The extruder hits 215 C and then the temperature starts dropping again (I've watched it drop down as far as 170 C after which I get a 'thermal runaway' message). It's also at this point that the bed temp stops climbing having only reached around 50 C. The red bed light also stops flashing.
I've got quite a few hours of 3d printing under my belt but I've never seen this problem before. 🙁
Does anyone know what's going on? I've also tried updating to the latest firmware 3.6.0 which did not help with my problem.

Check you have the right firmware installed, someone else posted that installing MK3S firmware on a MK3 gave them similar problems. Also if you're using octoprint and have the mesh bed levelling plugin installed make sure it isn't set to turn off the heating after mesh bed levelling, I had that happen to me on a previous printer.

Thanks for the tip but no luck. I updated the driver and now the temp on both the extruder and bed don't budge. Not sure if it's linked to the update or it's just coincidence. Oh and I now get the 'min temp error'.
