stopping and filament changing

Hi all

Whenever I try to print with the filament sensor on, the printer stops every x seconds/minutes, then I need to unload filament and reload filament.

Maybe something is wrong with the filament sensor. Is there a procedure to clean (?) it or what can I do to resolve this issue.
Because I would like to print with the sensor on, so when I would run out of filament the printers pauses printing.

Regards

Diederik

RE: stopping and filament changing

I recently had this problem. It drove me crazy. I was trying to print some Silk Silver filament. After several tries I changed the filament to standard PLA and the problem went away. I don't know your exact situation but that fixed mine. Not what I wanted to do but it worked.

RE: stopping and filament changing

Hi Tom

Thanks for answering. In the past, I noticed it could be due to the filament, so another filament did the trick.
However, after two times pausing I changed filament, and it didn't resolved anything. I even tried a third filament, without luck.

I have been looking on the internet for any steps/protocol to follow to clean the filament sensor (if it would be possible), but I didn't find much.
