I unplugged/replugged the connection and ran thermal again. Ticking happened at the end of R section after fan speed spun down a little through rest of the test. That gave me a thought, could it be the fan motor at certain speeds? This would suck as it is a brand new fan, I also had a little trouble getting it installed into the right position, the exhaust port didn't want to fit in to allow screw holes to align.</p>]]></content:encoded>

Doing two of the sample object galaxy wheels as the other spool of this filament would cause failures between sometime during the 3-4 hour mark regularly. Pre fan swap I did a 14 hour print with a glow-in-the-dark PLA that had no issues.</p><p>That is one of the reasons I have been at loss to the cause of the ticking. I would have assumed it would be more consistent and occur during heatup phase (preheat or otherwise) or happen on all layers, not just 2-4.</p>]]></content:encoded>
