Some error occurred, Z-leveling enforced
I printed a 12 hour print yesterday. It was one of the best I've printed.
Today I'm getting 'Some error encountered, Z-leveling enforced'. It waits, goes up to the top and then comes down. Repeats for as long as I let it.
Tried redoing the calibration, but it's failing the Z calibration (after putting the paper in). It goes to the top, down to the bottom and then a error pops up: Calibration failed! Check the axes and try again.
What could be the cause of the error? How can I resolve it? Does it know I ordered the MK3S upgrade kit and is not happy about it 🙂 ?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Mark
Re: Some error occurred, Z-leveling enforced
Nothing?
One little data point. The day before I did the 12 hour print, I upgraded to the latest firmware. Would reverting back help?
Also, I've checked the PINDA and it seems to be working. The red light stays on all the way up and down, until it reaches the bottom when it goes off and the error is displayed.
When the nozzle just starts touching the bed (no steel plate), the PINDA is a credit card width away from touching. The display indicates it's still 4 mm away. I tried using the controller to move the carriage to the top, and it goes up to 210 mm. The (maybe) strange thing is that the carriage is still at least 10 mm away from the top (i.e. during the calibration process, it goes at least 10 mm higher). Is this normal, or is something maybe off at the top of the range?
After the calibration error, and when I get back to the main menu, I'm able to successful perform the mesh bed leveling calibration, but the Z calibration still fails.
Any suggestions what to try next.
Thanks,
Mark
Re: Some error occurred, Z-leveling enforced
I'm an idiot. 😳
Please ignore this, and if happens to you, make sure you downloaded the firmware for the MK3 and not the MK3S.
That's a bunch of wasted time I'm never going to get back. 👿
Re: Some error occurred, Z-leveling enforced
I know some other idiots who have the done the same....
QQ - did flashing the correct 3.6.0 firmware revert your printer back to MK3 (no-S)?
Re: Some error occurred, Z-leveling enforced
Seems like it did... At least it has been working great!
