I haven't used my printer in a long while but am now printing a home lab network rack.

I'm getting by but I need to babysit my prints to get rid of occasional filament blobs.  Does anyone recognize a standard problem that might cause this?

It seems like each time the extruder completes a print line and retracts to move, it leaves a snot trail behind.  These eventually occasionally build up and get caught up into a blob.

My printer is an old i3 MK3s with whatever the standard nozzle was back in 2020.

I am slicing with the Prusament PETG profile for that same filament and using:

and am getting this sort of spiderweb on most lift/moves:
