Smooth rod scratches
Today I noticed some visible scratches on my X axis smooth rods. I can also feel them if I run over them with my fingernail. Is that normal or did I get unhardened rods?

It is not normal. How long have you had it, and are the rods magnetic?

I've had it for just couple weeks. It seems like quite a lot of wear for the short time I've been using it.
Yes, they're magnetic.

Was this pre-assembled or did you assemble it. You may have one or more bad linear bearings, or perhaps an alignment problem that is causing binding.

It came as a kit, but I was very careful with the axis assembly and didn't notice any binding, especially not on X axis, which is the one I noticed the groves on.
