Setting Y-axis home at the back -> better for resume after powerloss?

Hi,

I had the printer (i3 Mk3s) try to resume after a powerloss, but when it tries to home the Z-axis, the X-axis hits the print => can't salvage my print.
Since the distance between nozzle and X-axis is rather big (about 10cm excluding the wires), wouldn't it make sense for the Y-axis home to be at the back of the bed?
That way in case of resume after powerloss, there is not so much free space needed in the back (less than 5cm) for the printer to home the Z-axis.
I understand there is still the chance for the extruder to hit the print, but it would only be in the left-back corner, not over the whole width of the bed due to the x-axis now being behind the print bed.
