Retraction g-code and end of print
Would and additional retract (lets say 2mm, or more?) right at the end of print help to reduce a leaky nozzle when next print starts? Less material in nozzle when next print is initiated.
if yes how do one add such g-code? any good guidelines to understanding g-code for a beginner?

RE: Retraction g-code and end of print
Retraction is not to retract the filament, it is to take away the pressure in the nozzle.
If you pull back to far you can get bad filament high in the white tube, prusa has a wider part inside , so it could expand, and so get stuck on next print. But you can always try it.
In prus aslicer you can add it, see settings.
RE: Retraction g-code and end of print
Thanks Peter for the reply. The standard retract is O.8mm. I dont really want to change this number if I don.t have to. I understand the principle of the pressure reduction at the nozzle, i have seen the examples of the two towers and the stringing etc. So if i understand that correctly I don't necessarily want to change the standard retract setting but will just try it. If you you hover the mouse over the the input box for the retract distance they say:" When retraction is triggered the specified amount will ..." My question: is retraction triggered at the end of a print? The retract at layer change is ticked too.
also the kind of retract i envisage here is probably a slower one that the standard 35mm/s retract who's purpose is just to reduce the pressure at the nozzle momentarily. I am thinking 2 -4 mm retract at half the standard speed.
3mms retract wont cause the problem in the white tube would it?
