"Resume print" when card removed doesn't work.
If the card is removed while printer MK3 is printing, the function to resume printing doesn't work.
The status says "Resuming print", but nothing is happening.
Firmware 3.5.1-1778
My SD card slot became quite sensitive, I randomly get card disconnected by vibrations happening in the surrounding environment.
Re: "Resume print" when card removed doesn't work.
AFAIK, it need to read the card now and again. I have had a print fail by removing the card while it was printing.
Re: "Resume print" when card removed doesn't work.
If your card reader is getting flaky contact Prusa chat for a replacement you can take one of your 75 x 75 mm single sheets from the live z adjustment prints that you do when changing filament and cutting a piece the same size as the sd card and scotch tape it to the side of the sd card away from the contacts. this will make them press a bit tighter in the card reader slot...
Re: "Resume print" when card removed doesn't work.
Well, my point is that software offers in the menu to "Resume printing", but it doesn't work.
I wonder why it shouldn't work if resume of print is working on blackout.
RE: "Resume print" when card removed doesn't work.
I just had the same problem. (in firmware 3.8.1.-2869)
Is/was there any Github issue for this problem? ( https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/issues )
RE: "Resume print" when card removed doesn't work.
Data is streamed from the card and only a few lines are buffered at a time. The Einsy does not have enough memory to remember the entire print, so there's no way around this; the card has to be present for the print to continue.
RE: "Resume print" when card removed doesn't work.
It stores the current printing position on the card I think so when it cant read the card it cant resume the print as it needs to know where to start from in the gcode file (which is also on the card). Basically never remove the card during printing and if your card reader is flakey contact support and get a replacement as soon as you can.
