random bulging of bottom layers

I started getting these bulges on the bottom of my prints. I can't figure out what is going on and it seems to have started randomly. I'm using gcode that I know produces good parts, but now there is a slight bulge on the bottom. It seems like a hardware problem so I recalibrated XYZ and adjusted the belts with no success. It looks like elephant foot but I have compensation ON in prusaslicer. I am out of ideas. Any help is appreciated!

Is called Elephants Foot

There is a slicer setting for handling that - elephants foot compensation.  Cause is first layer is squished real good if you are doing it right - so elephants foot compensation is about reducing the width of the extrusion in that first layer.
