PrusaSlicer should merge infills to create simpler layers
Comparison of PrusaSlicer and Cure with regards to infill layers:
PrusaSlicer keeps "Solid infill" separate from "Internal infill" even when they have the same settings. This creates unnecessary complexity in the prints and forces the printer to do lots of starts and stops and z-lifts which in turn means more vibration and bad looking surfaces.
If the settings are the same for different kinds of infill, PS should just combine them, or rather, if infill is set to 100%, there should be no "solid infill", just the regular infill.
RE: PrusaSlicer should merge infills to create simpler layers
Update:
Setting Solid layers to zero removes this pattern. So it is related to how the slicer generates to top and bottom layers. It still seems unnecessary to force the printer to make those complex movements just to move a bit slower in some parts.
