Prusa i3 MK3+ Y axis failure
I've had a Prusa i3 MK3s+ for just under a year, and recently, the y axis has had a very hard time of moving the build plate from back to front. It's also very stiff to push, even when powered off. I've heard that this can be caused by crushed wires, but I don't see any places that a crush might have occurred. I'm guessing that the best option is to replace the y axis motor, but before I go and disassemble it, I wanted to see if anyone else here had a similar issue.
I've tried lubricating the tensioner pulley, and adjusting the tension on the belt, but to no avail. The printer crashes during the bed-levelling and is now completely unusable.
RE: Prusa i3 MK3+ Y axis failure
take the belt off, see if the stiff movement problem persists, if it does persist, it's not the belt, idler or motor
have you lubricated the smooth shafts and linear bearings?
