Pronterface fails to launch

Hi everyone,

As the subject states, Pronterface fails to launch.
Double clicking from the desktop shortcut, or from the installation folder, or from command line, with and without admin permissions, with and without the printer connected - nothing.
No error message, no process that I can identify running in task manager, and looking in the folder I can't see any log files.
Tried restarting the PC, and unfortunately I can't re-install the package because of the recent security certificate issue, see
https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/general-discussion-announcements-and-releases-f69/windows-installation-fails-t28343.html#p133180

Any ideas why this could happen?

Ami

Re: Pronterface fails to launch

Most folk find it works without issue; so it's probably a local install glitch. Uninstall it, then reinstall from scratch.

Re: Pronterface fails to launch

Thanks @Tim,

It did work for me as well until this week, and nothing that I'm aware of changed in my Windows install.

The problem is that now it is not possible to install the latest software package, as it is blocked on Windows 10 due to a certificate signing issue with Prusa's certificate provider.
Windows 10 UAC blocks it, see the thread I linked to in my original post.

I guess I'll just have to wait till that issue is resolved, and go back to using the SD card for now.

Cheers,

Ami
