Problem with the filament sensor

Hello,

Yesterday I print some of "low high" object that working correctly. After I try to print a cc. 35mm height object. About 8-8,5mm height the printer always go to filament runout problem. The filament not run out from the forwarding gear - not need to unload and load again, only need to push the button twice and load it again and working correctly again for 30-40sec.

I check the wire from the sensor the motherboard, it seems all wire good, not broken. I reconnect all connector on the mainboard and clean all contact.

But is not solve the problem.

The printer update a monts ago to multi material unit, and also modify the sensor position, but earlier working correctly. I print a new side panel for the forwarding gear, but it not solve the problem. Now I using without this upgrade, I load directly the filament to the printer head with the modify sensor position.

What can be the problem, and the solution? Maybe the IR sensor are wrong? I don't thinking it, because under 8mm are working correctly, the problem appear the Z reach this height.

If it is related to height.  If you get past that height, does it work okay again?  I don't have my MMU connected yet so not sure of the difference.

My first thought is that you have a cracked conductor that only goes open circuit when it is bent to a specific angle.  These can cause intermittent, hard-to-track errors.  I would replace the wiring.

Cheerio,
